blogs that inspire

Blogs, short for web logs, began in the early 90's as a site with a list of new websites. It evolved to online diaries and is now one of the most powerful forms of media. Whatever subject a blog, or a vlog represent, whether personal, business, or political, information and freedom of thought has never been so accessible.
There are millions of blogs in existence and depending on your interests, it can be a portal to meeting people. Most of my friends in France have started with reading them, all with the same interest as being Filipino expatriates. One blog led to another blog and to several more blogs. Some blogs truly inspire and some blogs just spark hate. Some blogs we learn.
As one of my long time friends joined the blogsphere two years ago, her simple love for travelling, photography and cooking turned into passion. An inner talent that unveiled behind her camera and in her kitchen. Sharing with us the wonder of her adopted country and its cuisine really make us want to explore with her. Not only the readers agree with that but many have proposed to use her talent in photography and her inspiration for creating new recipes. Now, isn't that such a wonderful blogger's story?
All that in just a couple of years and the OFWorld released the Juan in EU magazine, choosing her as one of the 100 Interesting and Inspiring Stories of the Juan de la Cruzes in Europe. You can check her blog at Apron & Sneakers
Some blogs cannot share the same success but what does your blog encourage? What does it inspire?

  1. Go Weng! She is truly inspiring. And suuuper talented! She really does things from the heart, because whenever she'd invite me over to her place to eat, way before she started her blog, the way she presented her food was already 5-star quality! So proud to know her. Sana nagpa autograph na ako noon pa!

  2. LOL! Kala, thanks! You are always welcome to eat in our house. Visit Rome soon! And Makis, thank you for the nice article. I never thought I could actually inspire. When we were kids, I would "outspire" instead.
