I called my mom to ask her the whereabouts of my aunt & her mobile number to confirm the little details of their stay here in France.
"We're already packing your bilin," my mom really happy that she is still on time before my aunts' departure tomorrow. "Your uncle is here from Nasugbu, he brought your kuyog from Calatagan," passing the phone to my uncle & I thanked him for getting me my favorite dried fish breakfast all the way from Batangas. "You have five kinds of smelly dried fish here," continuing with my mom...tuyo, dilis, besugo, kuyog & pusit plus two cans of corned beef (not to mention the etceteras I'm not told). We can now soon eat our champurado the way it should be eaten.
Aaaaw... ilang tulog na lang and you'll get that piece of home! you deserve it after all these years!

ReplyDeleteEven I just arrived from Pinas parang gusto kong tikman yung champurado Makis....pahingi naman!!! Take care & see you tomorrow.
ReplyDeletehey, you're on my favorites but my web browser was set to your "a weird tag" entry kaya forever yun lang nakikita ko. tanga ako no? slight!!! anyway, fixed it so i can continue reading you. as if it's absolutely necessary naman. magdakdakan na lang tayo ng libre after six. haha! sarap magka-sore throat kachichika!
ReplyDeleteKala : Oh yeah! I can now put up a sari-sari store with all the padalas :)
ReplyDeleteLynn : I'll be in Paris on the 30th & will leave the morning of the 2nd. Sayang I won't be able to come to David's birthday - craving pa naman ako ng children's party :( Can I call you if I have time to pass by?
Hazel : Halika, kain tayo ng champurado!!! Marunong ka ba? Ako hindi, hehe!
Apol : After we got off the phone last night, my french fry looked at me amazed & I had to explain your phone's promo & that we should always take advantage of it :) Check on the link again!
Makis, sure give me a call. I can't promise an all out attention. We might be busy for the preparation. As you know, I could do it alone, but Manou wants to get involve so my time is limited to his free time. Friday might be ok. Saturday is definitely no. Syempre, I'd love to see you! So call, call me! Mwah!!
ReplyDeletehey, pedeng makikain?
ReplyDeleteLynn : Ako rin, cannot really commit kasi nga of my schedule being the tour guide :) But maybe we'll make it this time to the Barrio Fiesta!!! Btw, is it messy there in Paris with the CPE greve?
ReplyDeleteana : Sure, sure, let's have a daing party!!! My neighbors will realize how pinoys make a bomb of a party!!! Musta na ba the working new mom?
Makis, c'est partout le greve! As I'm writing this people are rallying on our streets with lots of noises. But the police are keeping control with the crowds. Don't worry though, touristic places are ok, so you should be alright. However, di rin natin alam anong gagawin ng mga tao bukas! Check the news time to time...
ReplyDeletePasalubongs, don't you just love them!?
